About this deal
In addition, season two will hopefully pick up where things left off with several plots and sub-plots.
I love Eloise and adore introverted, awkward and nerdy heroes, so I expected this to be my favorite of the series. She becomes embroiled in a war of words with the bachelor, which inadvertently brings them closer together. Therefore, Phillip's response to Eloise, his relief at marrying a passionate, capable woman masking his reticence to deal with his own emotional issues felt incredibly authentic. In fact, they're so wildly incompatible that the real 'happy ending' would be them deciding to go their separate ways. Given that he avoids them virtually every moment of every day, that's really saying something---what a dad!
But before she knew it, she was in a hired carriage in the middle of the night, on her way to meet the man she hoped might be her perfect match. Her perfect husband wouldn't be so moody and ill-mannered, and while Phillip was certainly handsome, he was a large brute of a man, rough and rugged, and totally unlike the London gentlemen vying for her hand. Mirroring the format of Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton book series, the attention has shifted from Regé-Jean Page's Dishy Duke of Hastings to a new Bridgerton sibling in season 2: eldest brother and dashing bachelor Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), who in fact knew that he would eventually play the lead from the moment he was cast.In fact, her own child, who clearly inherited the heart and sensitivity of her father, wishes her mom had just killed herself sooner if she couldn't cheer the heck up. only she neglected apprise Sir Phillip of her impending arrival, and so she arrives at Romney Hall to set her plan in motion, only to be surprised by Phillip's two (unruly) children, no chaperone, and a man equal parts maddening and intoxicating, his manners making her temper flare while his smiles turned her knees to jelly. But a chance letter from Eloise, a woman he's never met, leads to an unlikely friendship, and gives birth to a desperate plan -- he'll marry the spinster, she'll take charge of his children, and his life will finally be normal.
